Radiance, Simply Is

There is an Orientation in the unfolding of Radiance where articulation can no longer describe what stands before it. Not because Radiance withdraws or becomes subtle, and not because experience refines itself into clarity, but because Radiance does not take position within anything that can be spoken. In the earlier Formulae of this Posit, Radiance could be addressed as Being, as openness, as constancy. Each articulation removed a layer of distinction. Yet here, even distinction dissolves. Radiance is not expressed, revealed, or recognised. It is not a presence behind experience nor a ground beneath it. Radiance, in this Formula, Simply Is.

Experience continues its natural Orientation. Sensation shifts without pause. Thought forms and dissolves. Emotion displays tone. The world arranges itself into patterns of appearance. None of these Orientations bear relation to Radiance. Radiance does not stand behind them as their context. It does not permeate them as essence. It does not remain stable beneath their variation. These descriptions, though subtle, imply positions. Radiance takes no position. It does not support experience, nor is it touched by it. The notion of interaction, whether direct or subtle, cannot hold here.

Sensation remains present in its ordinary continuity. The body shifts, breath moves, contact appears and fades. Yet Radiance is not clarified or obscured by any of this. To say that Radiance remains the same is still to imply relation, as though Radiance were something that could be altered. Here, even the idea of sameness is too much shaping. The body moves, and Radiance does not move with it. The body becomes still, and Radiance does not rest. Orientation and Stillness occur. Radiance simply is.

Thought displays its patterns without touching Radiance. Thinking arises with detail or simplicity, with complexity or quiet. Yet Radiance does not meet thought, resist it, clarify it, or reflect it. Presence is not ‘beneath’ thinking. Thinking is not ‘within’ Radiance. These relational structures dissolve in this Formula. Thought stands as appearance without capacity to approach or depart from Radiance. Radiance does not recede into silence when thought fades, nor does it hide when thought becomes active.

Emotion, too, reveals no connection to Radiance. Emotional tone shifts, yet Radiance is not softened or tightened by its Orientation. Intensity does not obscure Radiance; gentleness does not reveal it. Emotion simply appears, and Radiance is not altered. The absence of relation is not detachment. It is the recognition that Radiance does not stand as counterpart to emotion, Stillness, or reflection. It cannot be joined to what arises, nor separated from it.

Identity offers no foothold here. The sense of “I” may arise, adjusting itself through memory, preference, or perspective. Yet Radiance is not held by identity nor expressed through it. Identity does not veil Radiance, nor does it reveal it. It is simply another appearance with no bearing on what is. The self is neither closer to nor farther from Radiance, for closeness and distance imply position. Radiance stands without position.

The world, with its continual unfolding, also offers no relation. Forms arise. Circumstances shift. Patterns rearrange themselves. Yet Radiance does not underlie these Orientations, enliven them, or contrast with them. It is not the Stillness to their motion, nor the openness to their form. These pairings dissolve in this Formula. The world appears without altering what is. Radiance is not hidden behind the world nor evident within it. Radiance simply is.

Time, with its sequence of moments, creates no Orientation in Radiance. Radiance is not timeless as opposed to temporal. Such contrast implies two. Time unfolds as it does. Radiance remains without reference to it. The passing of moments cannot bring Radiance forward or move it back. Radiance is not found in the present as opposed to the past or future. It is not located in any segment of time. Temporal distinction does not apply.

In this Formula, even the concept of presence becomes unnecessary. Presence suggests something present, and therefore something positioned. Radiance has no position. It is not something that occupies space, nor something that permeates it. It is not a field, not a ground, not an essence. These terms imply relation, and relation has no place here. Radiance is not within experience, nor is experience within Radiance. The idea of containment dissolves.

Nothing can be added to Radiance. Nothing can refine it. Nothing can obscure it. These assertions are still too engaged, for they imply the possibility of change. Radiance is not unchanging as opposed to changing. It is not stable as opposed to unstable. It is not permanent as opposed to temporary. It is not beyond, beneath, or within. It does not adopt any of these positions because position is not relevant to what is.

The language of revelation also falls away. Radiance is not discovered, approached, realised, or known. These Orientations require orientation. Radiance offers no Orientation and requires none. It cannot be reached because it is not elsewhere. It cannot be unveiled because it was never hidden. It cannot be unified because it was never divided.

Articulation ends here, not because Radiance becomes inaccessible, but because articulation cannot describe that which has no contrast.
